Misuse Of Religion And Lack Of Trust In God

Prof. Latif Hussain Kazmi

Chairman, Department of Philosophy, AMU

1. Lack of True Spirit of Religious Knowledge:
Most of the people in mostly all the religious systems do not have a good knowledge and true belief in their respective religion or faith. They had long been translating/interpreting religion according to their own selfish whims and the results remained obvious—misleading and hopeless. A true believer feels pleased in embracing what is good, polite, beneficial, energetic, and soothing for all human beings, while a cunning, self-centred, possessing superficial religious knowledge and a selfish individual remains busy in his/her own evil tactics to deceive others, damage their name and fame, engage in unethical tasks and dies in lust; and nobody respects that kinds of persons…

2. Lack of Trust in God:
A number of people do many undue activities by lacking trust in God. They forget that trusting in God and engaging oneself in a constant striving for what is good and lawful, always prove helpful for maintaining a sustainable life. It is the trust in God and continuous struggle that can make our fortune and man becomes a ‘Blessed Man’ and a benefactor of all. So firm faith, firm commitment, firm dedication and value-oriented life are the gifts of God. Please possess all in all critical situations and you would get desirable results….

3. Misuse and Misbehave with Human beings:
Most so-called religious and political people use human beings for their selfish ends and interests. These so-called leaders in both and other disciplines of life befool common people, misbehave with them, exploit them, and don’t allow them to argue against them. Such an innocent, ignorant and illiterate generation get involved in criminal activities for the sake of their corrupt, unjust, tyrant and fake leaders and they have no future. But we must acknowledge that one, who deceives human beings, deceives God and will be dealt here and hereafter with serious punishment…You may watch here around…

4. Deceiving God in Pretending Him as Partner:
People try to interpret things/weak ideas in the name of God. As agents of religion, they commit crimes, divide people in the name of God, preach hatred/biased methods in ‘religious’ meetings/congregations. Such a heinous trend not only spoils humane inner kindness and sympathy but also destroys common welfare programmes initiated by the public and private agencies. We all the sincere and devoted God-loving and human-serving people must stand against all such misguided and arrogant so-called religious and political people and maintain moral laws and value-based society to live with peace, justice and mutual understanding. The preachers and practitioners of evil activities don’t deceive God and His creation in pretending Him is their partner but deceive themselves. All such people will face serious music here and hereafter…

5. People Weak in Judging of God’s Power to do Justice:
Most of the wrongdoers forget that they would be confronted with the serious consequences of something bad they have done/are doing. You may wait and watch the changing situations where human beings are helpless, frail and weak in deciding what to do? No law is higher than moral law based on spiritual orientation. Its’ man’s weak judgment in considering God’s power low, marginalise and infirm. We all may wait and watch the current situations where powerful people misbehave with innocent people, sow the seeds of hatred and unjust policies, derail society based on ethical principles, weaken the national and international cordial relationships, buy and sell religious principles in the name of development, and so on…

Things to do: Think right and do good; use warm water after meals; use a mask and be aware of Covid rules; help others to the best you can; never feel helpless, alone and hopeless when you trust in God…
